Record weather

Just finished attending our nation Superintendents Conference in San Diego.  Now we and spending a few days in Santa Barbara at my sister in law's.  Everyday so far has been in the high 80's.  Conference was great.  At the Audubon booth they had a Falconer who was showing his Great Horned Owl.  I didn't know that they could not smell and are a great way to control skunks.  Last season we had no problems with them.  I wonder if there is a connection?

Picture in Santa Barbara.  Have seen a few Monarchs flying around.

AT LEAST IT WAS NICE YESTERDAY.

Yesterday was so nice I actually hit a couple golf balls at the range just to see if the golfing muscles still worked.   I was very happy that all the snow and Ice had melted from our greens.  Most were even thawed out.  This put my mind at ease.  At least as far as winter damage is concerned.   Unfortunately my euphoria did not last long.  The snow is pretty but it won't bother me if it all melts by this weekend.

Woods to the left of 15.

A view of the half-way house that not many get to witness.
A deer laying down in the woods to the left  of 14.  Trying to stay warm.

A place to stay dry   (if you have feathers)
