You are probably wondering what is the GIS?  It is our national Golf Industry Show.  This show was very special because I have been selected as the winner of the National Presidents Environment Award.   The award recognizes superintendents who are making exceptional contributions that not only help protect the environment, but also exemplify the golf course superintendent’s image as a steward of the land.

This award is quite an honor for me and Rockland.   Nothing happens with out membership and board support.  “We have a good thing going” I want to thank the board, past and current Greens committees, the Audubon Committee, and the staff for making this possible.   I will place a copy of the article that appears in our monthly magazine on our bulletin board.  Please take a moment to read all that we do for our local community.  I hope you are as proud of our club as I am.
